Im in for this one! Whats with the cover over the cylinder head? To aid in cooling???

Yes its for cooling, that duct and a special one piece head. they were only on the later 400's cylinder head temps kill rd's. that was yamaha's last attempt befor the water cooled 350lc & rz's/banshee
