I've been looking for a solid month for one and for the shape its in it is a good deal. It's best offer as well I bet someone local could pick it up for 1000-1200.
 
It needs either the right tank, or the right seat. The tires were shot in 1983, let alone 20 years later. The header is rusted, hence the black BBQ paint on the top (I had the same header, with the same paint treatment). Muffler is gone.

Worth 1/2 of what he's asking.

Tank is right, seat is wrong. It seems like everyone i've seen is priced way higher in worse shape and is selling on ebay or locally. It seems like people who own these know they are sought after for restomods or cafe conversions and are priced reallly high.
 
Sorry Zoopants. Not to "beat a dead horse", but the tank and side covers are wrong... the seller even says so.

If it's a Super Sport it should have a SS tank and side covers. It doesn't matter what he likes when it comes time to sell, it's a matter of what's right. This is wrong. Period.

IMHO, Tim's evaluation is correct. :) It could be a solid platform for a build or restoration but it's not really as valuable as the seller thinks it is.
