recent musical discoveries

Not a huge RJD2 fan, but I have a few albums of his. He's def my favorite of the genre. Him and DJ Shadow. I'm just not that big on the genre, but I do quite like the guys who mix in old jazz and motown like these guys do, or trip-hop. Seeing him live, on the other hand, will give you a whole new appreciation. He was only using 7'' records on four turntables. He was really working hard up there. Non-stop changing, queuing and mixing records for 90 minutes. It was pretty cool.

That Emily Wells track is pretty cool. Very creative way of achieving a lot with a little.

She reminds me of both Bjork and Portishead's Beth Gibbons. I think I might have to put in some "Dummy" later. It's been a while.

I don't know if you guys are into like underground hip-hop at all if so you should check out Atmosphere theyre amazing Sean Daley is a genius, or if you"re more into the bluegrass side listen to Mumford and Sons or Trampled by Turtles, I'll post some videos up later when I'm off work for those interested.

I have a ton of atmosphere. He has some really good tracks but some is just really out there. You should also check out Professor Kliq for good beats.
