If you're willing to try wiring it on your own, the controls from any bike will work. I've got the controls from a Chinese dirt bike I found in a dumpster on my 500 right now and they work great.
Yeah I'm definitely willing to do that. I'm doing all my wiring from scratch so that's the plan anyway. Looking for either aluminum or steel housed buttons and switches.
OEM switches are fine - I run a YHA205 switch on my left side which is an old Yamaha switch (not easy to find, looking for a 2nd right now myself). It has headlight/hi-low, horn, kill and turn signals all on one neat pod. Only thing I have on the right side is my throttle and brake.
I got these and they are metal and nice... About $100 for the pair.. but very solid. http://cognitomoto.com/collections/electronics
Don't scroll down too far or you're going to start drooling over the motogadget stuff.
