So I have an XS 400 and it has a homemade wiring harness. All it has is the Rectifier, Voltage Regulator, CDI(igniter) and the bike runs great.
My friend has an 81 Virago with a rats nest of a wiring job and I was just wondering if we stripped it bar bones if my technique of just having the Rectifier, Voltage Regulator, and CDI(igniter) would work to make the bike run?
IN SHORT:
To run, does a bike need just these 3 parts of the electrical system?
**Of course it needs the coils, and a battery (or capacitor) and the basics, but is there anything missing from my 3 parts?
