more specifically, Highland Mills which is about 2 miles away from the Woodbury Commons.

I am inbetween rides right now, but im picking up 2 72 500's not running on friday one for parts and one to fix. So its going to be an ongoing project

If you have any get togethers or need help with anything im more than willing to meet up. I want to learn as much as i can about these vintage bikes (im only 20).

what about you. where are you and what are you riding?

Are you referring to a pair of TX500s in New Paltz ? I talk to that guy once in a while . Seems like a good dude . He would sound like the only guy in the area with 2 72 500s . 2 Blue Yammie TXs . And they're 72s .
As for me I'm in Montague on the Jersey side near Port Jervis . I'm in your area all the time . Riding a Triumph.
If that's the guy I know the 1 is running sweet . The other I'm not sure of . Throw me an IM when you pick them up.

I know this is an old post, but I just noticed it now, and I'm assuming they're having the event again this year (2009).

I rode to this event from Baltimore last year (and I'm an AMCA member), and for those of you who are expecting this vast contingent of cafe racers there, forget it. It's heavy Harley and Indian, which is perfectly fine (this is an AMCA event, after all), but I was definitely in the minority there with my '66 Honda CB77. The VJMC had a nice sized booth, and there were displays of vintage trucks and steam engines, which was really interesting to see. It is a fairly new event, and it's much smaller than Mid-Ohio. Overall it's worthwhile attending, though I don't know that I'd ride my CB450 cafe racer from Toronto for it. The area is definitely beautiful, and there are several good B&B's in the Rhinebeck area. Plus, you're close to Hyde Park (home of the Culinary Institute of America), so you know there's going to be lots of good restaurants in the area. If you do decide to go, book your hotel now!
