YES! that looks gorgeous.... maybe tie in just a small hint of silver to the belly. just to show its there very subtlely and classy... i think it will all come together very elegant while still looking super agressive and sporty.

That yoshi pipe is derty! (spelled with an "e" = good thing). I've seen one other yoshi pipe like this and it was equally as derty. Owner said he got it from Japan.

That last scheme you posted is also derty. Either that or the olive green one. I'd support either.

Where on our delightful Island are you near? I'm on College Hill in Prov, there are a few members in the state, more in CT, and a mess in MA.

I'm in East Greenwich, working from Lincoln though - in the industrial park over by the airport. This forum is proving to be a great way to meet members in the area. Maybe we can get a group ride together soon.

Haha, i know exactly where you are, I play guitar every once in a while out in east greenwich.

Technically, right this moment, I reside in Lincoln. Until July 1 when i move.

HA! so do i. (i imagine this tread could very easily transition to talking about guitars instead of bikes :)

Might be moving myself - possibly soon. Are you a student?

Odds are we know each-other, at least in passing. Nope, retired Army at 25, and I don't need no Education!

Where do you normally play?

TANK BACK FROM DIPPING

Ugh... just when I was close to making up my damn mind on a paint color, the tank turns out looking this good bare after the dip.

I really like the Audi Nimbus grey, but now I'm leaning towards their Aviator grey - which is a bit lighter.

Chime in! It's close!

Aviator is a rad color too, I fear it'll just look a bit more like primer with clearcoat when being sprayed on a bike...IMHO of course :)

No man, you're absolutely right - it totally looks like primer. If I go that route, definitely gotta make sure the finish looks LIQUID in order to help fight the "is it just primed?"

+1 On the idea about it looking like primer. That was my initial thought when I saw this

MINI has a cool color called Ice Blue. I think it's new. Was just there having my Clubman serviced and saw some of the latest ones. Nice flat grey/blue color.

Easy fix. Lots of wetsanding. Wetsanding is kind of the cheap fix for that sort of thing.

Drips and orangepeel.

Painting is one of those things that requires some skill and some tools, but many shortcomings can be addressed by simply taking some extra time.
