I emailed the seller to suggest he sell the Rickman complete kit seperate, the 3 Z1 etc engines seperate, and get the modern stuff off of it. Much better chance of getting his $15000 asking price that way.

Especially considering these frames were designed around extremely short forks and a 28 degree rake with 18" wheels and large ofset (2.25"?) triples. Most fork&triple swaps even with 17" wheels will result in ruined handling unless you want it to steer like a harley davidson or a dump truck. (Very short or slammed down height forks with clipons on top + Custom triples are pretty much the only way to go on a Rickman if not running the original forks, need 43mm to 53mm offset to get acceptable trail - depending on 17" vs 18" wheels).

"This is a cafe racer project but I have all the original manufacturing parts, (95%).
The rickman company was the first who build the first cafe racer rolling chassis.
Kawasaki Z1R engine with Rajay turbo, keihin carb. I have a racing engine basket case with a really good condition MTC 1426cc kit. I have one more engine came with the bike(untouched, factory).
1978/6. The frame.
I have a certificate of authenticity. Bike never been registered, that was a demo bike for the rickman company in Philadelphia.
Any question, email me."
