Rust-o-rama July 16th

I think that, like many shows that aren't very inclusive, some of the best rides will be in the parking lot. Nothing later than '65, only British or American bikes, no billet, no modern wheels. I think it's interesting that they add the part about promoters being able to make exceptions at any time, as if to say, "Spend fifty bucks on gas to get your show car down here, even if we say we won't show it. If turnout sucks, or if your car is cooler than us, we might let you show it, but probably not."

I just want to see a GTO Judge or '69 Camaro Z28 302 4 wheel disc car without having to beg for it to be let in. Hell, my wife's dad would have to hope for an exception with his home built '34 Chevy, and it's a hot rod in every sense of the word - it's just those damn modern wheels. They may even be billet.

Sounds good to me. I'll do my best to bring some friends with some other unworthy bikes.

Hey guys I'm one of the club members helping to put on the Rust o Rama, and the year stated on the fliers should say 1979 and earlier. Basically its all about home built bikes of Cafe', chopper and bobber styles, as well as cars. No limitations on brands at all. So come and have a good time, show us your home built bikes, make some new friends. You can see the web site at www.cherrycitybombers.com for some updated info., thanks.

I'm trying to find someone to watch my kids. My wife had to go to PA on business and that's a bit of a drive with the runts. Not to mention the fact that I'd have to leave my bike at home. Still hoping to make it down though.

You going to ride the 450 up to advertise, Gage ?

Yeah, I'm gonna bring piston killer and try anyway. I'm delivering her to her new owner on Sunday so it will be my final weekend with her. :(
I'm bringing my daughter too (she's 2 and a half), so bring the kids!

Will do, man. Good deal on the sale. I didn't think it would last for long...

Yeah, crazy. I had a guy from New Jersey that wanted to fly over and buy it too. Then ride the damn thing home! I told him the bike would make it but his ass wouldn't. The bike should be on display if they let me in.

Well it was a friggen cool show until the outlaws showed up anyway. I'm fine with being around them, just not with my 2 1/2 year old daughter in tow. There were some bad ass rat rods (some of the coolest I've ever seen), some sweet bikes, and some great looking women. There was only one other cafe and he's a member of DTT but I didn't recognize his handle. Not enough bikes though and some of the promoters were all but begging me to bring more cafe's next time. Cherry city bombers seems like a pretty legit club and know how to promote a decent event. They were glad to have me show my Jap bike. Next year we will bring many more bikes.
