Rust Revival - Cafe Racer Clothing & Book Project

Coast to Coast
As a few of you know I started a thread some time back regarding the idea of a book filled with member submitted stories/photos of the cafe racer culture. No builds were to be included in the book, just simply personal stories pertaining to the cafe culture from the DTT members. With lots of support and months of figuring it all out I'm starting a new thread to introduce the clothing site to accompany the book. I don't like asking people for money but I sure as shoot ain't gonna pay to print/publish a book out of my own Levi's. In an effort to gather the proper funding as well as to gain some interest with the book I have launched a clothing site where all of the proceeds will go toward the publishing of the book. Check it out and lemme know what you guys think. The shirts are available now and the stories submissions page with a detailed outline of the book should be up in a few days.

You should consider http://www.kickstarter.com/

It's a great way to raise money and has plenty of expose for cool projects such as yours!

FYI, just bought the Standard Oil shirt (cool-looking shirt!) to help out!

I've toyed with the idea of Kickstarter but for some reason I enjoy the punishment of doing it all myself, lol. Got your order, mucho thanks and I'll be sending it out shortly!

Robot great job looking forward to seeing the book. Going to head over to the site and see what I can get ordered!

Thanks for the info. The Mono Wheel shirt is not in print yet and that was supposed to go to a "Coming Soon" page. I am hoping to get those rolling this week.

Got my shirt ordered! Thanks Robot looking forward to the DTT poster and the other stuff too!

Got both my shirts today. They look Thanks for making a good looking, inexpensive t-shirt. I'll keep the card in my wallet incase i get interest. I already think my dad wants one!

How's the sizing on the shirts? Would love a 'pit to pit' measurement of a Medium / Large to compare to my current shirts. These days it's impossible to know what size to get.

I just so happen to have my new shirt right next to me Tim. Laying flat on the table, my Large is approx 20" pit to pit. I have never seen anyone ask for shirt sizing this way...but i dont know many Canadians lol!!!

It's just an easy way to compare to shirts I have on-hand. Would be great to get a post-wash/dry measurement too, but it sounds like I'll want a set of Larges (have to have 1 of each!).

order placed and payed for Robot . thanks again for putting something like this together! This makes you my hero for the week for giving me something to look forward to ! ;D

Good for you. I can't say I'm a big fan of the new trend of begging for money on the internet to get a project done. If you believe in a project enough, you'll put in the extra work that it takes to get it done.
I think all of the projects on DTT are proof enough of that.
