Hi, guys i m new here. I got this ugly Sachs Express 150cc 2008, not my first choise bike,
but i think it will be easy to makeover since i have no experience n know nothing about
mechanical stuff.
I m thinking to make Cafe Racer with tank and seat look like Benjie Cafe' s Armadillo
or Pinas.
And fortunately i have contact who can make me the combo for cost price.
But he needs me to make the exact model from styrofoam, which i m not good with.
Please shoot your inputs here. i really appreciate it.
sachs.. ive never heard of them until i saw your post and researched em. really old german company? and they mostly make like ruckus/vespaish scoots. but this looks cool.
how are you gonna make the tank? aluminum or fiberglass?
*edit - is it a big thing in australia? when i googled sachs express all the links that came up were .au's
Mike, the tank will be in aluminum. This sachs is more like budget bike here in australia. Need to get the tank done soon before my mate changes his mind..
from what i can tell they're another company using honda-style vertical single cylinder motors.
150cc, unsure of bore/stroke - pondering trying to find a barrell off one to see if i can use it for a bigger-bore cb125s warm up...
no, theyre not that big here (in melbourne, anyway) but there's a few around. they're sold new.
