Just a heads up for you guys! I found a scrapyard (if you want to call it that) in Davenport, AL close to Ft. Deposit (out in the sticks). The name of it is Motorcycle Matrix, the owner will not let you walk around without him and everrything you touch is a collectors item or a collectable as he calls them! He has about 2000 or so old bikes, mostly japanese, and they vary in age from just a few years old to 50 years old, and vary in condition from barely able to be revived to total waste! If you see a frame of any sort, it is sold as is and you may not remove any parts from it! If you find parts(scattered in the mud and the mess) and think you may want it, you ask him how much for it, he will look it over for several minutes and then deliberate an astronomical price! He will not budge on whatever price he deliberates either! Then he tells you how collectable that part is and how hard they are to find! For example, he has tons of tanks hanging on an old fence and laying in the mud under the fence. All of them dented up a bit, some rusted through, none of them have caps, and the insides are rusted like hell! The cheapest one he gave me a price on was $55 and it had many rusted through pin holes, no cap, no pet-cock, and solid rust inside and out! He gave me a price of $100 for a yamaha 125 2 stoke tank that was in not much better shape! I found the wheel I wanted but he wanted $100 for it, so I left it! I priced many other things but he was just rediculous! I left with nothing but the damn gas it cost me to get there! I just wanted to let all of you know that it is not worth your time to go there!
