I agree with you about the original design of the seat. However, it looks like a factory built bike. I want to build an original looking bike, within reason. At least, that is what my plan is now. Decision, decisions.

No problem. I didn't know if you're bike came with the original seat or not so I thought I'd mention it. In that case, I think this pic bears reposting:
It's an original look that hasn't been done a million times and maintains the functionality of the factory seat which is just long enough for multiple solo positions but not quite long enough for comfortable two-up riding.
If you're dead set on a bumstop seat, the square seat flows better with the tank than the bubble, IMO.
I just purchased the Nine Hundred seat from Roc City. Here is the link http://www.roccitycafe.com/nine-hundred-cafe-racer-seat. Someone was kind enough to send me message letting me know to check that one out thinking it would be wide enough at the front and fit the lines of the tank as well. I will find out soon enough. I am looking forward to getting this moving along.
I've had several made in the area, never paid more than $50 for covering a seat pan with foam and stitching up a cover. But I do recall a couple places wanting $100. I'm glad I learned how to do most things myself.
