sebatron's CB125N build - I'm gonna call it "CB229S"

is it ton-capable?

just wanted to say thanks for the compliments go! and Big R - makes it easier to maintain motivation. the rear fender alone has made me want to bin it a few times. lol.

Yeah sometimes I got so frustrated with my bike I just want pick it up and chuck it across the garage. That's the worst about these little scoots - it's possible to literally chuck them across the garage!

thanks von!

big r - haha EXACTLY. i swear it's no more than 90kg as is, with a few litres in the tank. pretty cool, even with batt, elecs and seat it should still be 20kg less than stock :)

can i get some opinions on the trumpet? my fiancee thinks it looks loco.

Oh..... I can't really help with that yet. I'm at work for another 7 hours or so and I'm on my phone. So no matter how much I zoom in it's still on a tiny screen, ya know?

But I'll try and check it out in the morning!

That color combo is awesome, I'm really digging it. Not to sure about the exhaust turning down though. I'm not feeling that but that only my opinion

I dunno - I kinda like the v-stack! As long as it's not sucking lint off your pants when you ride I say go for it.

Or are you using blue jeans for the air filter? :D

Yeah, great colors! I was wondering why the small pics? Do you use photobucket? I would like to see them a bit bigger!

Hmm. If you click it should take you to a gallery page where you can click to zoom I thought. Maybe I should use photobucket :p
I checked the denimfilter situation. With feet on ground, my underthigh touched the outside. Feet on pegs was no issue. Mind you I still need to bring it in a little so clearance won't be an issue. More a taste question I want some opinions on :)

thanks guys. When it's done and I put together the show and shine, I'll use pbucket :)

Wow Seb, I dunno how I missed this one but nice nice nice!

I have a sift spot for small displacement bikes...odd for someone what dwarfs anything smaller than a 750.
I have an S90 that I'm putting a pitbike motor in. I have a connection for USDs that wil lwork on these little bikes but they're not all that cheap at $350. Also have access to some nifty adjustable shocks. I have family in Denmark and they have some interesting small bikes there. tracking says my shipment is about half way here (on a boat) so as soon as they come in I'll tack some pics in here or you to cogitate upon...

alright woot! update!

honda crf50 brake cable fits - with adaptation. the crf cable has a threaded screw which attaches to the lever inside the caliper, where as the standard was more like a clutch cable.
managed to thread the bit the cable end rests in, and adjusted it to near perfection. really happy with that.
! got the motor started ! wired up only the crucial ones. i kept trying to kick it over with the killswitch grounded - i wasn't sure if ground = kill, or ground = go. got tired, and i had to check some stuff on my cliosport so i did the amazingly lazy and used my car battery on the starter. haha.
the carb needs serious adjustment though, it's idling at what's got to be at least 3000rpm, and that's with choke off.
the exhaust isn't really "finished" though - i wanted to make sure it was sealed and tight before i wrap it or finish it up. so the baffle and bent bit came off rather suddenly ::)
that's pretty much all i managed to get done, along with starting to permanentize the wiring and hide and tuck it away. i'm worried now though - the voltage reg, cdi, flasher etc take up a lot of room, and i don't know where i'm gonna put the battery so it's completely out of sight. hella tempted to try running it without a battery completely.
i did get a vid, but it's unpostable.
anyway i finally got that SD card out of the other camera and uploaded a whole buttload of photos from around the halfway through point to about a month ago, if anyone's interested:

now here's a weird issue!
left hand controls have headlight low/high, indicators and horn.
right hand controls have lights off, "p" and "h" - why do i have 2 sets of light switches, but no kill switch? gg old honda. btw yeah they're the original controls.
i might try to rig up the RHS as a kill/run/starter if i can...

Maybe the "p" on the rhs is for parking lights? That's my best guess. Can't even imagine what the "h" is for.

If you copy and paste the IMG link from Photobucket, they appear full size on here.

Glad to hear about the motor running!

nah there isn't any photos of current progress specifically, i just pulled all the photos off the other camera (which is actually a camera and not just an iphone :)) so i figure i may as well link to the album. it seems like reverse chronological order though.

well the RHS, when i say "off" i mean there's a dot. it's a 3 position switch, with a "lights" label above, with dot/P/H
i actually figured the H was for High, and I didn't know what P stood for - nice work!
i think it's Off/Parkers/Headlight on ? makes sense, but i don't have any use for it :/ down here in nannystate you need to have the light on if the bike is running legally. some new bikes were exempted but that's the blanket rule.
I may as well rig the parker lights and head/tail lights together, and just have that as my "low beam".
might look for another throttle/switch housing to use.

Yeah, the parking lights thing is strange. My GR650 has a position on the ignition switch that turns on the running lights only, locks the steering stem, and you can pull the keys. I guess in some places in Europe it's their way of stopping people from parking in one spot too long. Parking lights on with motor off equals dead battery.

Speaking of the GR650, it's right hand switch has the brake light + mc, kill switch, and start button. I'm sure more Suzi's are the same. Or you can search ebay for some universals!

yup, the search is underway.
i need a housing which has:
-start/kill
-throttle housing
-brake cable perch

or i need to make up a set to cover the three. anyone seen anything like this?

What about a stock cb350? I've never actually looked at the housing, but I think it has what you need.

ive got a universal starter switch and im not sure if i'll use e-start so i might forego that part.
i actually found a nice suitable honda part but it's blaaarddy expensive and has many different part numbers, all with differing pricing:
$80USD + $15 shipping: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SWITCH-KILL-RH-HONDA-Z50-CT70-CF70-CHALY-DAX-MONKEY_W0QQitemZ180406493641QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotorcycles_Parts_Accessories?hash=item2a0110a1c9
$60USD (in better shape): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-1980-CB125-CB125S-RH-Switch-Stop-OFF-RUN-NOS-JP_W0QQitemZ110502975787QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotorcycles_Parts_Accessories?hash=item19ba7d992b
but yeah, not the same part number.
anyone got something like that lying around they'd be willing to sell me? it's exactly what i'm after. plus i ghetto sprayed my original housing so it sticks out like dogs balls.

Let me look around. I may have something. I sold my 350 controls, but I may have something from a 500 or a 360. Ill check tomorrow.
