This is a perfect, straight and freshly powdercoated frame from a 1972 Honda CB500k1. I know it will fit all CB500-four bikes 1971-1973. With one additional bracket it will fit the first gen cb550 (and maybe more).

I am in the midst of a restoration/cafe project. I took this frame to a sandblaster/powdercoater and despite clear instructions, the guy blasted off the assigned vin tag from 1981 and then promptly "lost it." Live and learn, right?

Of course I have photos of the original assigned vin tag and a bill of sale for that. I also have the original California blue plate that came with it. But the DMV says it's "out of the system" and they can't/won't look up anything that old. The CHP (they handle VIN inspections like this in California) told me the bike could be registered as a "custom new construction" but I wanted to keep it more original so I bought another titled frame.

IF you're in California or some other place that uses the FRAME NUMBER as the vehicle ID, and are willing to have the bike get registered as a "new" custom motorcycle, great. OR if you're in one of those places that uses the ENGINE number as the vehicle ID number, then this is perfect and ready to go... it even has the fresh All-Balls bearing races installed. Only other modification is I cut off the f'ugly brackets for the stock center stand before it was powdercoated.

Am listing locally also. Shipping will be at least $150 depending on the usual factors... tbd.

Sold as is. VERY CLEARLY STATING THIS FRAME CURRENTLY HAS NO IDENTIFYING MARKINGS ON IT.

Sorry if I didn't read clearly, but does the frame come with the paper title for it?
