Quickly now - nominate your fave bike for September 2010 BOTM honors. Nominate, Second and the nominee accepts and the bike is in for the vote.
1. Nominate one of our member's bike for Bike of the Month - include some flattering pictures of the bike in question as well as a link to their build thread if they have one and their DTT user name.

We will accept nominations until we get a reasonable number of nominees (5-10 or so).
Then a poll will be set up and voting will take place for the remainder of the month. Whoever ends the voting period with the most votes wins Cheesy
As a reward, we will use a picture of the winner's bike on the site banner for the following month.
I agree with both nominations. Both bikes are incredible, in entirely different ways. Woody's has that softer, old school style that's executed perfectly. The RD is just lean and sinewy. That seat is the only tracker-style that I actually like.
I would like to nominate Alex's CB750 "Delores" into the mix. I loved it when it was Orange, then he did some knee dents and clip-on dents and went green with it and I fell in love again. I know it is under the knife once again, but I love this bike. Everything was home built, lots of parts are total one offs. Alex's body work is just plain impressive... look at the knee and clip-on dents and you will understand what I mean. This isn't some bike that someone threw 5k at and bought a bunch of stuff off ebay, or paid someone to polish for them... this is a real garage built bike, and one I think that really represents DTT and what BOTM is about, with an emphasis on the "build" part.

Like I said, this bike really captures what DTT is about.
I like the CB, it's very honest. There is a guy on here with a wicked monster with a crazy square muffler. I cant find it anyway. I nominate him. If we can find him.
I would like to second Deviant 1’s 1972 CB750 “Dolores”. This bike is special to me because Deviant and I have been friends since we were very young. This bike was the first project that we had worked on together in a long time and we had a lot of fun wrenching and working on her. Deviant has made this bike the perfect example of what a “café” bike is, built by an individual using only the minimum of tools and coin to create a bike that is his own, very unique, and performs better than it did in its stock configuration. This bike has tons of handmade parts, and I don’t mean CNC parts. The top clamp was a stock clamp with the built in riser for the stock bars, but Alex, running clip-ons, sawed off the risers with a hack saw, then smoothed the clamp using an angle grinder and a DA sander. The headlight ears are handmade from a piece of aluminum C channel using a hack saw and drill. His gauge bracket, license plate bracket, and relocated ignition bracket were all also handmade. Now for the real big stuff that was all done and crafted in his garage. First off the seat, the seat was fabbed up using an old outboard boat motor cowl and a sheet of SS sheet metal….you will just have to see it in the thread to view all the work done there. Another amazing piece is the tank, which Alex dented using a framing hammer and some tools he made himself for shaping. After the beating was done, he spent two weeks using body filler to get it to the perfect shape he wanted. On top of all of this, the whole bike is done in rattle can paint, all of it! The black is a mix of high temp paint , bed liner, and appliance epoxy. The orange and the green are both Rustoleum spray paint. While I did have a part in this build, Alex deserves all the credit for this bike. Alex regardless of the outcome of this months voting….congrats on a great bike! Thank you for sharing this with me, I enjoyed every minute of it!
