Sharing my joy of the day

I just feel like telling everyone that I was able to start my CB360 for the first time this afternoon! ;D I was so glad! The bike had not been strated for about 10 years according to the last owner.

It was really funny to see left pipe shooting pink house insulation cause a mice took shelter in!

Everything seems to work fine but the horn. I cleaned the controls, still doesn't work. I have to make it work before taking the bike to inspection!

Beside that, I had a pretty good day! ;)

Great to hear man! It is always a great feeling to hear them roar to life!

As to the horn...meh! ;D

Horn? Who needs it? Bike horns are about useless anyways :)

Congrats! Such a great feeling! ;D

If it's the stock horn on your bike, it might have an adjustment screw on the back that is possibly for pitch adjustment or something. My horn wasn't working but had power, so I ran that screw in and out. I think the horn was just stuck, and it works fine now...might work for you.

Thank you guys ;-)

@Mr.E : The inspection guys need it ... just to bug you!

@wavyspike : Thank you for the hint, but there's no power going to the horn .. I tested with a multimeter and tried with another horn too. I'm almost sure I'll have to find me another horn button... :(

You can get a generic one at any auto parts store for about 3$, then just zip tie or solder it to the controls until the inspection is over, then take it back off and worry about fixing the stock button later on, that way you'd be able to ride.

Thank you for the input Jewbacca. I went to the local electronic store this afternoon and bought one. Back home I dissassembled the old button and realized why it stoped working. There was a thin layer of dirt between the spring the his seat preventing the contact to be made. After some cleaning tests showed it to be back working! No need for the generic button anymore! I paid 1$ for it... not a too big lost.

I wonder what they would say if you showed up for inspection with a squeeze bulb bicycle horn on the handle bars.
