Shipping a bike

Howdy ya, can someone recommend a motorcycle shipping company within the US to ship within the US? I found a bike I am interested and the seller is willing to sell to me, but I have to arrange all the shipping details. Please advice.

I sold one on ebay, the buyer used old dominion freight. it was expensive and I had to build a crate for the bike.


Try finding one that will let you strap the bike to a long pallet.

Ouch!! How expensive was it? And from where as the bike shipped to. The bike I want is in Vermont and to be shipped to Chicago.

I dont remember how much it cost since he took care of it. it wasn't cheap though. 600 bucks comes to mind but i might just be blowin smoke

Try Forward Air Freight https://www.forwardair.com/prepaid/MCmainpage.jsp They offer motorcycle shipping, estimates and crate rental. I have never used them but others seem to like them.

Wanted to revive this old thread to see if anyone in the last few years has had more experience with shipping a bike within the US?
From what I've seen it's usually around $500+. Anyone have recommendations for services or have experience doing this??
