shock repositioning

Hi all,

ive scored a set of sweet shocks but they are shorter than i require.... it is possible to move the mounts to keep the ride height the same but decrease the distance between the mounts? like the yellow line in the picture...? or is that a total no go

Possible, yes. Recommended, no. It will drastically alter your spring rates and damper piston velocities. Get longer shocks or shock extensions.

I'm changing the seat rail, so just put a bigger mount plate at the top and put a bigger one at the bottom aswell??
