Is this real? This is the exact suit I've been looking for but how can this be so cheap? Everywhere else I see these they are at least 5 and change.

Re: A1 Leather Shop selling full racing suits for $341...

I assure you brand new racing leathers should not be that cheap. You'll definitely get what you pay for with these.

Cheap, poor quality...and probably coming from China.

Seriously, safety gear (especially leathers and a helmet) are things you shouldn't skimp on. Buy good quality branded gear and it must just save your skin when you slide down the road at 70+

Yea I agree. Anyone know where I can get that yamaha yellow racing suit from a reputable manufacturer?

Try just going to your local leather/gear shop. If anyone knows where to get it, they will.

Sedici makes a good suit for about $500 if you're on a budget. I've used some of their stuff in the past and had no complaints about it. I have a pair of their full race gloves and like them.

Cyclegear has a store right in Hicksville now too so you can go try stuff on.

Most middle of the road suits will run about $700-$1000 though

I don't know any reputable brand that is pumping out the kenny roberts colours. 70's AMA is the in thing right now, and the price of plastic and tin foil is cheap in china. Look to get a well maintained vintage set.

I would ask around till you find somebody who's dealt with this place. It always amazes me that people always think quality has to cost a lot.

This may be an up start company trying to get a foot hold. Years ago I knew this guy who owned a gas station. A bunch of my friends and I pulled in one a.m. on a ride. He was curious what we had all paid for our leather jackets.... He told us we were crazy and we way over paid. I pretty much told him to put up or shut up. A couple weeks later I roll in and he's got bitchen leather jackets, and I put up the $ and take it home.

That jacket lasted 15 California seasons, 300+ days a year, rain or shine. It's still in my closet, beat to hell but still in tact. A few scrapes from going down on people who borrowed it, but probably the best $100 I've ever spent. I've been thinking of using the leather to make a seat.

These suits may be crap, but I'd spend time trying to get confirmation, just in case. That Yamaha suit is bad ass. I hope it's legit..... But it's worth the time to find out, not just an opinion (especially mine) but from somebody who actually owns one...

An up start company? Are you new to the internet? That's nice that you bought your quality leathers from Dwayne at the Chevron station off Hwy. 59 when candy bars cost a nickel, but when you see 15 different websites including the likes of aliexpress posting the same stock photo of a general image with not a single detail shot of a purchase, that at the very least merits a name of the manufacturer, I would wager to say that it's not worth further investigation.

Kinda the point, you did enough homework to know that they're on many sites with little feed back. But it's always easier to be a smart ass than give a straight answer. I'm old enough to have bought from companies like Bell, Dutwyler's and Vortex before they were brand names, but it took them time to also gain a reputation. I was just saying, maybe find somebody who actually owns or tested the product.
