Should headlights be rubber mounted?

I plan on having a small headlight fairing and either traditional incandescent or LED.

Is there any necessity for rubber mounting either the bracket in the fork leg or the headlight bucket to the bracket?

It’s an in-line 4 (Suzuki Bandit 600) so fairly smooth.

The headlight on my old KZ is rubber mounted and it bounces around all over the place. I absolutely hate it !!

It's advised for bulbs that use a filament (e.g. halogens and HIDs), but not necessary for LEDs of decent quality.

That said, I've usually experienced the opposite of 1fasgsxr: Rubber mounted lights tend to vibrate less.

Ok it’s as I figured. I suppose I can just put a bushing between the bucket and bracket?
