Should I Pick This Up??

Been Around the Block
So I sold my cb550 over the summer and rode my virago till I Left for School. Now that I am up here at school (Michigan Tech, Keweenaw Peninsula, UP) I don't have a ton of extra cash but I have a little and no bike up here. So I was on craigslist today and came across a guy selling a 1975 CB125 for $350 about 15 miles north of me. I know its a tiny bike but with a 55 MPH speed limit in most of the upper peninsula it would be OK. Plus if i got bored i could have a little fun tinkering with it. Also my (small) girlfriend back home wants to learn and it might be a little better than my 750 virago. Or just clean it up and sell it back home for a small profit. This is what the add says:

1975 Honda Cb125 antique motorbike.
Runs great! and everything works, headlight, blinkers, horn and all! Everything is original on the bike but it is missing the side covers.
I am getting rid of it so I can get my snowmobile ready for winter.

Do you think the price is OK? I have yet to see it or if it has title and unknown miles. Do you think it would be worth the short trip sometime in the next few days to check it out and see if i can snag it for 3 bills if above stuff checks out?

If its running and in OK shape then id say its worth it.
It will be a real good deal with a title.

Be wary without a title though as it can be a bear to get one.
But for 300 bucks id probably ride it around illegaly till i get pulled then say "yes sir i'm actually just riding it home from buying it" ;D

Yeah I know how fun it is to get titles for stuff but I'm hoping there is a title with it. Anyone know of any members with 125's and did a build with it? I would like to check out what i could potentially do if i got bored and needed a project (I have a problem, don't judge me).

Well talked to the owner today. No title  (price just dropped to me) but im still going to take a look at it in a few hours. Still have not seen it.

There are a few good CB125s here and 100's etc. Someone also posted that getting a title is not that hard in michigan so look into it.

In indiana you just have to have a signed bill of sale and a police inspection (showing that its not titled or stolen in the state) to get it titled. Never tried to title a bike that had a title in the state before that might be harder. Just call your BMV, tell them the situation and ask them what needs to be done to get it titled. Here is a build thread for my 100 (which is pretty much the same as the 125 with slight changes to the motor). Ive actually got a 125 motor im about to swap into mine.

There are a couple of signatures in that thread to other really nice cb100/125 build threads with lots of information.

Well bad news. Got there and bike was ROUGH. tank was very rusty and wheels were toasty. Bike only had 5k on it but i think i am going to pass and save my cash for the next one. Thanks for every ones input, very appreciated. Also the bike was ALOT smaller than i was expecting.

$300 no title for a 125, the bike better be running and in fair condition. Likely a good move moving on
