Should I replace brake pads on ‘75 CB125?

I’m rehabbing a ‘75 CB125 and the rear brake pads look in good shape. The bike only has 3100 miles on it. I’m trying to reuse as many parts as possible on this project, but I’m wondering if modern brake pad tech is so much better now that I should replace the pads anyways. I’m not real worried about longevity, it’s more about performance and/or any other concerns about 45 year old parts I don’t know about. Thanks.

Yes,
Those shoes are 45 years old and the lining is glued to the shoe. Sometimes the glue fails with age and moisture and delaminates. That is not good or particularly safe.

I agree with ex, even if they had been replaced once, the lining soaks in moisture from the air and breaks down the bond, especially on an aluminum base. Having a lining come off and jam the wheel to a stop would make the $20 bucks for a new shoe set seem a small price to pay. As for the lining performance...tech has come a long way since 75.;)
