Just a simple tip when tuning, timing, syncing carbs that many overlook when having problems like I was having, I had a lean plug on one bank, no idle screw response, bike ran well but had uneven power or a miss on one cylinder, before looking into tearing apart carbs, jetting, etc... there is usually a real simple explanation: 20-30 year old advance springs. More than likely these are the culprit as one may be worn/stretched causing an imbalance in the cylinder timing and appearing to be carb synch problems etc... make sure to check these first!!! Maybe this could be a sticky reminder!
