so i have seen a few kz twins with single carb set ups it there a reason the single carb works better on the kz400/440s?
had anyone made it work on the Honda or Yamaha twins?
i know the frame would be on the way on some bike like cb350s but you could work around that
I'm going to be trying that pretty soon. There's a video on youtube if you search KZ400 of some guys who made a two into one manifold out of some copper tubing and ran the carb out the side. The bike seems to run fine for them.
I think the main reason for single carb is the people using them don't like carbs.
You then accept whatever is in the 'kit'
If you understand how carburetors work and how to set them up there is no good reason to use only a single carb.
On XS 650 or CB350, the single frame tube makes a single carb set up a bit 'odd' as it has to stick out one side or the other
