well thats the pics form the "first" go around.

well the update is that i was able to use the other head i had.
i lapped those valves and everything is sealing up.
the cam is back in the motor so its not that much more work to get the engine in the bike and run her.
how all goes well this time.
ill give it another go sunday or monday.
today is a day for the girl. its the least i can do seeing as my F is in our living room...lol

this is the "bad" valve of the "bad" head.
if you look you can see that the seal angle is almost nothing.....

been crazy with tests and work.
put in a few hours today on the bike.
got the motor in the frame.
good compression on both cylinders.
ill get her running soon.
its starting to get nice out and i really would like to ride.
was just to hung over today....lol

messed with the bike a bit more.

floats where leaking and i fixed that but im still only running on one cylinder.
i know that its fuel related but its been a real pain so far.....

the float seatings in the manual dont make any sense to me as you just flat cant get the float to 21mm.....unless im really doing something wrong

I know exactly what you mean.

Bump for updates. What did you end up doing for your front end? Did you get the axle figured out to use the CB450 drum with the XL350 trees?
