smackin some hose

Hey guys, I bought an inline fuel filter today since my carbs have been clogging up frequently, but I just can't get the damn thing to fit through the hose. I'm thinking I either need to lube it up or heat the hose somehow so it's stretchier. Any tips on getting it in?

You can warm the hose to soften it lime you said. Or buy a filter made for that size hose.

Well I figured it was the right size since I brought the hose to the shop and showed it to the guy who fetched the part. What's the best way to heat it up, can I microwave it?

I may not be able to get it drunk, but I'll need a few drinks by the time I manage to squeeze this thing in

make a fresh potta coffee drink coffe with hose,insert filter...job done

Use a lighter or a heat gun if it doesn't already have gas in it. If it does, you could heat up a screwdriver and push it in there for a moment.

I'm having the same issue with this last connection on the socketless hose. It has a double barb and a 90* fitting so it's hard to clamp it in a vise where the tip won't move on you and push the hose all the way to seat.
