Smaller Battery CB750

Hey guys, first post, but here it goes...

So, I recently purchased a 78 CB750 K, and I want to free-up the Traingle, but am having issues finding a small enough battery to hide somewhere.

Anyone have some info on what size of battery could work? This is my first bike so sorry if I'm missing out on anything important... I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions coming up, but once I get everything and start working on this I'll post up so you guys can track my progress!

thanks in advance.

As luck would have it....

Thank you... I suck with searching as I don't really know what I'm looking for. I'll try a little harder next time! thank you

Nice..information "current"..

So I've read alot and noted sonier mentioned ok to drop 25% in ah from stock?

I've got a cb 750A which has 21ah stock.

So a 15 ah battery would be ok? What's worse case scenario, it melts or reduces lifespan?

Ah (Ampere hour) is a capacity rating that measures how much current a battery
will discharge over a specified period of time (generally a 20 hour period).
Higher Ah ratings do not necessarily reflect how fast current can be drawn,
rather, how long a current can be drawn. For example a 20Ah battery will
sustain a 1-amp draw for approximately 20 hours before dropping to a voltage
level that is considered discharged. A 40Ah battery will sustain an 1-Amp draw
for approximately 40 hours. Overall capacity will be influenced by other
factors including temperature, depth of discharge and speed of
charge/discharge.
So your 15-Ah will still put out 12v, just for not as long under a load as a 21-Ah stock one would. Fine for a Kicker, but you would run into trouble running an electric starter with longer cranking times... or having the key / headlamp left on without the engine running.

thanks for that.

does AGM versus SLA come into play?

the prior seems to be much better with quicker recharging.

Combined with electronic ignition maybe a AGM 14AH should suffice..
