Hey all,

Just bought my first motorbike, a 1977 CB750F. Looking forward to tearing it apart and hopefully putting back together. It's previous owner did something to make smoke blow out of the exhaust at will... named it Smokin' Joe.

Pic's coming as soon as I pick it up, it hideous at the moment, but it runs and it was cheap!

Here are some pics of the bike, just got into taking it apart. Came with K&N pod filters and a sweet two inch swing arm extension haha

The bike is torn down to the frame and now I'm trying to figure out if I want to hide the battery under the seat or keep it in the stock position and save myself some trouble. I want to run the smallest battery possible while using the electric start, signals, and break/headlight. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I think I want to cut the frame behind the rear shock mounting points and stuff the battery under the stock seat. I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm trying to work it out haha.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance!
