So I was down at the local dealer today...

Standard gearhead.
...and I was struck by the appearance of the new Honda VT750S they had on the showroom floor:

I know its taking a direct shot at HD's Sportster range, and that it is 'just a Honda', but I still reckon it looks pretty neat. Looks like its running a smaller version of the liquid-cooled v-twin that the 1300CS has, if so then thats not a bad thing.

Anywho, in no way a plug for the Big H, just though some of you guys might be interested.

Cheers - boingk

How bout the Shadow Phantom?

I noticed this one the other day in the dealer showroom, and it's kind of alright... Y'know for a shadow.

shadows are awesome. dead reliable... wonderful rides and make decent power for a vtwin. my fathers gets mistaken for a fat boy every time i take her out. i really do need to take pictures of it. i keep putting it off.

This has got to be one of the most badass stock hondas I have ever seen!!! It has an industrial look, which I love. Me personally I think way better looking than the Fury.

Probably the best looking Shadow but cruisers with radiators always leave me cold.

LOL!! :D "leave me cold" :D Just kidding, I guess you could always try to relocate it, if it bothered you to much. But then again thats one of my dumbass ideas that I really would do to a brand new bike.

Note to anyone customizing a Wing or a CM400 or anything similar. See the seat on the first bike - the VT. That style would work really well on your bike with a little creative adaptation.

It integrates teh fender with teh drop in frame and matches up to the tank. Sergent do a better job, but it's almost right.

I'd love to see a VT750 stripped of everything non-essential, small ribbed aluminum fenders and drag bars.
A nice minimal brass shroud around the radiator (lots of old bikes had'm) an old school open element air cleaning and a more svelt exhaust and you'd have one hell of a solid, smooth (RELIABLE) bobber.
Neat looking bike for a cruiser!

Thats exactly along the lines I was thinking, Swagger! It could definitely end up being a bit of a weapon if you did that, I mean all that bodywork must weigh a bit...

those were exactly my plans for my dads if he ever let me! the lines on this thing are hella pretty... the seat is loww, tank is nice and high, motor exposed...

shit would be pretty light stripped down too! the stock chrome goodies and bagger things weigh it down by hundreds.

i have been trying to convince the wife she would liek the phantom, wants no part in it. i think it is a really sharp scoot!
