Fascinating in many respects but leaves a lot of unanswered questions. Particularly about the rotary valve. Norton experimented with rotary valves in the early 50s but abandoned the idea due to sealing problems. I would love to see how he solved the problem as ever since seeing rotary valves I've felt thy were the way to go. Regardless, a big tip of my hat to him for doing what I can only dream of doing.
