Someone else came to look at a cb350 before me with no title but...

I recently came accross an ad online. It was a super clean cb350 that was listed for about 1/3 of actuall value because of no title..

No title is a little scary because it could be stolen right? To check if it's stolen or any "red flags" all I did was Google my state, Utah, motorcycle stolen check. You just enter the Vin online and voila! Clean! It checks the dmv and its proably very similar to what the police use.


So, I ended up buying it for a heck of a good deal. The owner told me that the person who came before said he would have paid over the asking price if it would have came with a title.

I ended up getting a good deal on a sweet bike and didn't even have to worry about it being stolen because I did my homework.

There are a few different ways, depending on your state's laws. The Vermont registration process is easy, but some states have abandoned vehicle title processes that are easy or cheap, or some you need to buy a bond for the title. Some people shit their pants over no title, but I've bought a bunch of bikes and never been burned.

In Tn as long as it's over 20 yrs old it's trivial, just one extra form when you go to register.
In SC it's almost impossible to get a title if it doesn't have one.
Not sure on Utah.
