hello chaps...

Hmmm... Not many SR250s here in the states. Tough question. Best bet would be to seaech the parts fisches for similar part numbers and the like. That said, just from eyeballing some pics it doesn't look like an easy swap between any of them. But don't take that as gospel.

I'm pretty sure I've read on this forum people using the XT250 kickstarter on the SR motor, so I'd say the bottom ends would be the same - and a bolt in swap.

Not sure about the electrics though - XT might be 6v and the SR 12v ?? You'd need to migrate ALL the electrics over to the XT donk if that's the case.

I posted a link on how to put a kickstart on an SR in the specialty manuals section ...not sure if the guy used the XT or an XS kickstart he may have used parts off both....not sure but there is a link how to do that Mod....Won't make you go faster tho....I wonder how long it will be until Dime city has Big bore kits for these

always so pleased with the support on this FORUM..

thanks for all your help chaps.. i'm look at tech specs now and possibly the xt250 would work...

of course most of me is just saying fuck it! get another bike and use the ysr250 tank (which i fricken love)!

:'(

why not just rebuild the one you have?
simple enough, get a manual and learn a skill
