Any of you UK DTT 'ers going to the Classic Bike Show ?

I'm looking to confirm dates - might be nice to see a few of the faces.

I think the show is in Stafford on the 23rd & 24th of April this year, at least that is what this site says http://www.classicbikeshows.com/showindex.asp?showcode=TCM11

I wold love to go, but that is the weekend my family is coming over from the states for my sons christening. whereabouts are you located in the UK? I am in Warwick, if you aren't too far away we could meet up for a pint or something.

Let me know!!

Cheers mate

Bugger,

I'll have to come back from Saxony a few days early !!!! be great to see some of you guys.

For those NOT going both days, which is best? I'll probably go Sunday.

what day is everyone going? I will have to get dropped off the the wife as I'll be having some injections in my shoulder friday night and don't know if I'll be able to drive (even if it is only 15 miles away ::))

I should be going say, I will be wearing my old skool suzuki hoodie with a bigger version of this on the back.

Having seen the weather forecast mid week I decided to go Sunday as there was less chance of rain, then they changed their minds on Friday saying that Sunday would be the monsoon day. Looks like I'll be wearing a GBFO raincoat and Sou'wester !!!

I'll be looking out for you Surplus - decided to brave the rain [ and damaged spleen ! ].

Bright Cerise [ not quite Pink ] raincoat and a bush hat - that'll be me from about mid-day onwards.

Went yesterday, very, very busy. Bonus was the fact that it didn't rain at all and wasn't that cold either.

As usual loads of bargains to be had and loads of potential project bikes for sale (some reasonably priced, some not!)

Keep a look out for a twin engined Norton that is for sale on one of the Auto Jumble stalls in the outside area.

The wall of death was an amusing distraction for 10 minutes and there is something quite captivating about a young blonde girl riding an Indian on a vertical surface ;)

Would love to have gone, but 500 mile round trip is just toooo far.

PS. Hey Cornish, what's the latest on the cafe racer race series for next year?

It was looking like a bit of a non starter for me as the organisers were looking for firm commitments to race in order to see if they had enough numbers to put the series on and given the distance involved for me, I would have wanted to know that the series was definately a go'er before committing to it. The organisers web site also appeared to be very quiet in relation to the series (when I looked) Will still consider it if they gt it off of the ground, but for now it looks like the XS will be competing in 1/4 mile sprints next year.
