surfing and motorcycles.... yup
just wanted to share a few tips on how to get your tank decals, or any other stickers right where you want them and make sure they stay there.
start off with the stuff you need, painters tape, your stickers, and a squeegee(i used a credit card)
you want to make sure your surface is nice and clean. i wash with a soapy water spray then let it dry, then wipe it with denatured alcohol and let that dry. (it drys pretty fast)
attach the painters tape to the top of your sticker and position it where you want
stand back and look at it from every angle, check it, then check it again, then check it two more times. once its stuck its stuck.
once your happy move on to the next step. fold the sticker up leaving the painters tape in place
then peel off the backing
carefully fold it back down from the center and start to rub your squeegee over the decal to get a good seal, work from the center out
once it is applied look for any bubbles before removing the applicator paper and use the squeegee to remove them, then go ahead and pull off the applicator paper
TA DA!
i hope this helps somebody. I am lucky enough to have never screwed up any sticker application before in my life. i always do it perfect every time and have never had any help from anybody named trek97. haha. i give full credit to him. i am just passing on some helpful knowledge he sent my way. good luck, and happy sticker sticking.
