Hey all. The cafe is morphing into street fightracker. Looking to go with the dual light setup. Who has? What lights? Suggestions. Thinking of two 35w fog lights/driving lights. Anyone have some pics.??
I've ridden with fogs before. Can't speak for everyone, but they suck as headlights. Don't go far enough high/wide enough. Look awesome, but I really didn't enjoy the 3 different sets I tried when I was younger on an SV650 I used to have.
I used a set of twin Bates with Hi/Lo....... Lit the road up like daylight.... cost me about $100 total.. well worth it... I just fabbed up My own mount out of aluminum, took all of 10 min + wiring
I just got a mini projector headlight off ebay with single bulb and shutter for low/High beams. It's HID 35w with angel eye in red/yellow/blue or white
When it gets here on the good ship SS China I'll post pics.
So far I have tried:
Twin fighter lights (crap)
Modified car projector (open to the elements and needs a high beam light)
Twin driving lamps (look bright but no beam shape)
So maybe this one will work.
Thanx to our Chinese friends there's a hundred and one fairing / headllight systems.
Obscure scooters, quads and such.
I found this one [ on my soon to be finished BMW K100 Fighter ]. Has twin beams - one for high, one low + 2 sidelamps and indicators. Cost me £25 !
Unbelievably the lights are excellent - at least as good as the original BMW headlamp. While I was at it I bought a spare screen and spare headlamp lens - £15. E-Bay.
