Sunday Oct 21 ride - anywhere!

WTF - you ran out of gas? Was that on the way back? Keeping up with Hawkgurl was a chore and I couldn't keep track of you guys behind. Doing the ton for an extended period on the QEW was a lot of fun :)

Fugue and I got back into the city and went for a coffee on Queen St. Then we went to the Diplimatico. From the Dip, I ran out of gas on Bathurst just north of Bloor. We didn't realize that there was an Esso at Bathurst and Dupont ... so I meg-shifted a siphon hose using my fuel lines.

Got to love my bike ... it has "Character"

what are talking about? That was piece of cake! just tuck yourself in and let the wind blow right over you! ;)
The ride today wasn't as spirited as I usually ride, but it was fun!
Tim, next time you can lead. :)

yah, sorry guys, for getting separtated going home,on QEW, but you guys knew where you were going, so I didn't worry.
Im off on Tuesday, hows the weather looking?

Hey, my 32 year old brick did the best it could! Those beehives sticking out the sides of my bike don't help, and there's a whole lot more of me to push through the wind then there is of you ;)

I'm all in for a more spirited ride on some twisties - can't make any promises to keep up, but I can try!

Tuesday unfortunately looks shite. Monday is going to be 24 and sunny (!) but Tues is rain, and then colder all week - mid to low teens. 9 on Sunday. Still plenty warm for riding, but not as pleasant, especially at 9AM.

Whew! What a day... finally got back to the computer.

Looks like everyone beat me home ;)

Scarcat's issues on the return leg that caused us to slow down were the same ones he had on the way in... but the fix was insane... you shoulda been there... I wish I had a camera with me... He fixed his bike while rolling down the QEW at 100+kph in the middle or right lane (depending on when lanes ended) for like 10 km or more... checking for spark, and fuel, and carbs... I hardly believe it, and I was there! And amazingly he was so steady on the throttle it was like running on cruise control the entire time... mad skillz yo!

The whole gas episode was rather entertaining as well... after the fact. ;) Our amateur siphon was pretty damn McGuyver if I do say so myself! Amazing what you can do with a pocket knife and some trash.

Scarcat... btw... what's your facebook.. the link in the facebook thread don't work for me.

Hawkgirl... am I really that unmemorable? *sniff* now you've gone and hurt my feelings! I'll echo scarcat though and agree that you were a great ride leader... I'll chase you through the twisties anytime ;)

Next time we need more peeps! Imagine the ruckus we'd create if the lot of us were rolling together. I mean, if the 4 of us got that much attention today, well.... just think about it.

Other than that, all the zombies and ghouls walking around downtown was one of the strangest sights I've ever seen... There must have been hundreds of them, eh Scarcat? Oh, and what about that Ferrari.. the one with the turnouts that we tried to steal just for Noel. BTW Noel... your bike is too quiet. Actually, after riding behind Scarcat all day, everything is too quiet... What? Speak up sonny, I can't hear you!

Har... ok. I guess I've lost the opportunity for my beauty sleep... Time to get me ready for work...

That was nutty. 100Km/h on one piston with my left piston dead ... on the fly bike repair ain't fun. For those of you that are thinking "hey maybe I should pull out my spark plug lead to see if it's spark issues" ... yes ... even at 100kmh it still hurts.

Ya ... what the hell was that? There were hundreds of kids being "Undead" walking up Bathurst like it was Michael Jackson's "Thriller" ...

Im sorry Mike, I promise to remember your name the next time I see you. Thanks for the compliments and I'll take you up on that offer one day.
Yah, a big group ride would be cool, I'd love to see a big vintage group ride.

Sounds like you all had a great time. Another time I will hook up with you.

I did manage to get out myself, and met up with a couple buddies who also ride KZ650s.
Ron aka zixxerboy from St. Marys (close to London) and Jim aka intrudin69 from Orangeville.
We had a blast around Fergus, Elora and back to Orangeville, hitting the Hockley Valley route there.
Was a great day with tons of bikes out.

Very nice guys!!.. Great Pics!!...I wish I had a motorcyce...(oop..shit... did I say that out loud??)..

Intrudin's (Jim's) bike is an SR (D model). It's really nice, and clean. Sounds good too. Paints in great shape, and his engines been rebuilt not long ago.
We all have 4 into 1 exhausts too. I'd love to have a video of the three of us go by, zoom, zoom zoooom.

Anyone check out my booth? I was in Hall 4A FKN Enterprises....I had a 74 R60/5 Customer bike on display, won 3rd place in the vintage contest!
