Suzuki Bandit Forks

rundown

Been Around the Block
I bought what I was told were 99 Suzuki Bandit 600 forks. I am not 100% confident that the seller knew what they were so is there anyone here who knows this for sure?
I intend to use these on a Virago Cafe Project, good choice?

well that will sure drop the front !!they look awful short, be sure and check the tire clearance with the springs removed once you get them on the bike

It's Suzi at least.
Those rotors are Katana 600/750 Bandit and TL of various years.

Looking at the forks, it's from a model with fairing mounted guages, as there is no mount for them on the top triple.
I bet a quick Ebay search of top triple clamps for those Suzi models from roughly 92-02 will turn it up pretty quickly.

Thanks, I have been looking on ebay, but haven't seen anything that definitively jumps out and says this is what it is. So a further question, should I need new seals or different springs etc, are all the Suzuki forks that look much like that the same in terms of small parts?

it sounds like you are in way over your head already
seriously you are going to put those forks on your virago and you don't even know the first basic things ?

My first thought was RF600R but I thought they had preload adjustment and no damping adjustment which isn't what I'm seeing there.

Measure the fork legs and look up a fork seal listing for that size and see what comes up.

I'm guessing late 80's/mid-90's Katana 600/750. What is the width of the front rim: 3.00 or 3.50? I think the early Katana's had a 3.00 rim.

Later, Doug

Streetfighter and Bozz;
I think you have it, measured the tubes and looked at the pictures and looks identical to the late 90s Katana 600 and 750s.

Now anyone know what Suzuki's policy is on making keys? Not really too important as I am not sure I would want the original ignition placement, but something to think on.
Thank you so much for the help, it would have taken me forever to find this, especially as I thought it was a Bandit.

Look like a mid 90´s gsx 600f

Thank you for your help. I am now 99% sure it is from a '94 Katana. Wheel and brakes match, lower fork legs match, horn attached in same location, top triple is same, clip ons are the same. Everything seems exactly the same. Now I can order parts with conficence. Probably didn't help that I indicated it was a bandit fork?

I have an 89 GSX750 Katana and those are definitely Katana forks. Bandit triples mount standard bars instead of clip-ons from what I remember. Your forks look identical to my Katana forks.
