Hello, another finnish "dude" wanna introduce myself, First i want to apologize my english, i try to write as good as i can, so be patient, and try understand :)

i bought this bike about five months ago with broken engine, first i thought that i repair that engine but little research showed that there is no sense of that.
So couple email to local motorcycle "junk yards" and ask if there is engine, i did found one but price was 450 euros + cargo and it was "raw" engine, too expensive on my budjet, so i started to look engine from ebay.com and ebay.de, and finaly i found one from England, and price was about half that finlands price, and most important engine was "plug and pray".

I made offer and they accepted that. there was lot of troubles on way to get that engine to finland, UPS losted that engine once :) and it took almost 3 months to get that engine, but that is whole new story, and we dont get that, lets concentrate
on present.

condition when i bought that bike

Single seat making from fibreglass (my first time) borrowed my friends mold

Of course little cutting, that seat will fit.

little rough but it will do, however i have to mod that seat still because i have honda cb tank, so little cutting is necessary

and heres my new muffler, and frame loop which i weld into bike

And of course, THE four fifty and filthy :)

lot is in "to do list" powder coating, new meters, maybe clean up electric wires, painting etc etc
But i will update soon as i can, and accomplish something what i can show you

Tank mount, fitting that honda tank wasnt so simple, tank "bottom" was so narrow, i had to make "little" modifications with hammer :)

seat didint fit anymore with new tank, so little design work have to be done :) and measure rear frame loop, and weld it

tnx! i hope its a runner :) , i havent tested it yet, but it "rolls" and has some copressions, that will do for now.
i'll build bike almost ready before try start up, because there so much to do before this bike moves by its own.

if the worst happens and engine isnt ok, then i disassemble it and build it again, or change hole engine type.

here is couple pics from orig engine

broken piston and rod was bended

Sylinder "pipe" had little problems too, and sylinder"pipe" was scrathed badly

also crankshaft was in bad shape, and other piston was broken too

Get your replacement engine to life before doing to much effort in the rest.
Because when you have the rest of the bike done,u dont want to push "play" without a positive reaction from the motor.
That will be a real mental setback ;)
Did that on my first bike and that sucked bigtime!
Just a thougt...........

actually i wont do that because, i know if the bike isnt done, and engine wont start, i will have BIG motivation problem.
and i probably sell bike.

so when i have builded bike, there is no going back in that point.

just my opinion

i Thougt it would be the opposite,i felt like my first build was a total waste because of engine problems right before finish.
If all fails you can allways buy a 400 engine from me when time comes.
(if i am done with a 450+ replacement)

operation battery case

not ready, but from that point is good to evolve that, next time i touch bike on year 2014 in january!

So merry christmas, and happy new year, and remember behave! :)
