Suzuki GS750 points cover

Just curious if anyone is familiar with these late 70s Suzuki point covers. I got it all cleaned up for powder coat. Is the lettering part of the cover or is it a separate badge. I thought I've seen replacement badges but if this is a badge, I can't figure how to get it off. Thanks.

It's a badge. The glue is good 8)

Thanks. I'll try a heat gun to get it off.

they are a thin aluminum badge. You can use heat gun or try to get edge up like i did but you risk scratching the cover and if you are not re covering then it means more sanding and polishing.

One other thing - not sure if it's the same as the 450 cover I had here but it has a hole in the middle of the cover that the badge covers (you can see it from the reverse side).


So if it's the same, and you are thinking of not replacing the badge, then you have a hole to deal with.

Chances are you won't be able to remove the old plate without damaging it.
