Been Around the Block
You read it right..
From what I can tell, no one has used this as a platform before, which is kind of fun.
The other day I picked this 2003 YZ85 for 200 smackaroos.
It needs a top and bottom end rebuild, but these engines are stupid easy (and cheap) to work on.
I originally was going to go for the mini supermoto type build, when I thought "how cool would it be to make a little street scrambler out of it"..
It also possesses the right frame back bone to make adapting a metal tank easier.
The game plan: rebuild the motor and get this sucker squared away mechanically
Wheels: replace the rear to a 17 to match the front, make it a 3.5" for some beef in the rear and throw street tires or mild knobbies on (may not be an option due to the already tight fit on the swing arm)
Find a tank that jives well with the size, then try and find the right stance.
That's all I have game plan wise for now, I can't do anything cosmetically until I figure out a tank anyways, and from there the rest follows.
