Tail section / Seat I made, give me some feedback

Here is the Tail section with seat I made. Let me know what you guys think.
I made the frame loop and aluminum plate to mount the battery first, then move to the seat/ tail. I used some 3/4 wood as a base. Got a sheet of XPS foam, stacked, glued together and shaped. Made a space on the underside to hide the battery. Then went to town with epoxy resin and sanding. Top side has 4-5 heavy coats, block sanded between each, bottom side has 3 coats. It turned out pretty good, very strong. It slides under the lip of the tank and there is one screw with wing nut going through the frame to hold it. Make it easy if I need to take it off quickly. If I ever do another one I will make the space under the hump a little bigger by taking out more foam. Battery and fuse box fit under ther easily though. Used a 1/2" foam pad (gym/playroom flooring) for the seat pad, cost $4. Probably have $45-50 in the whole thing. Luckily I am good friends with a painter that I used to work with, he painted it for me. I added the black just for the hell of it and pinstriped in very thin dark silver.

Just resin. If i had it to do over again I would probably add a little milled glass additive to the resin. With the base being wood, I didnt see any need for glassing the whole thing. The epoxy resing is very strong by itself, and the first coat bonded /soaked in to the foam really well.

Very nice job on the seat. How did you get the bend in the wood? Did you have to steam it?

Made a cut about 2/3 of the way through (on the top side) where I wanted the bend. Clamped it so it was bent like I wanted, poured some 2 part bonding epoxy into the cut. It is very freaking strong.

I am tossing around the idea of using this one as a mold and making a few out of Fiberglass or carbon fiber.

Dude that is awsome!! Very clean!!im gonna try to use the ass end of this shadow fender and light assembly to do a duck bill?or dunststall style, tell me if you can see where I'm going with this?
