A CB probably isn't going to do you well for more than around town, even the 750. That GS certainly would, it's a full size scoot for sure but even in spotless shape it's worth maybe $1500, more than likely it's closer to $750 if it needs tinkering and ALL old bikes need tinkering unless it was stored, vacuum packed in a crate since new.

The DOHC CB's are good for tall riders. Over a half of my freinds cant touch ground on my bike.

I know what you mean. I have a 76' GT 250 and im 6' 4" 200 lbs. But its strictly an around town scoot. 8)
