tank clog

revival of death

The tank for my cb350 has that kreem shit in it. There's a clog in the right side of the equalizer, I'm assuming because of the kreem. I was gonna get the por 15 hd tank kit, that should get it out right?

no. try to remove as much of the kreem out of the tank as possible. don't use por 15 either as it sucks and will fail. use caswell.ypu can even use the caswell in the tank that has failed kreem or por 15 still in it.and a caswell it costs the same as por 15

I've tried wire, no dice... Thanks for the suggestion though I almost got the por 15 shit... although what about the kreem cleaner that kit comes with..?

I'm totally confused.

I concur Kreem is Krap, as its a thick liner prone to separating from the tank, which is what seems to be happening here.

Personally I've used POR15 to great success, as it's a super thin incredibly tough coating that adheres to pretty much anything it touches permanently.

But, let's assume Caswell is even better. Why do you not have to remove the Kreem first? Surely you're not suggesting the Caswell liner is going to simply sit on top of the Kreem? That's clearly a waste of time and effort. I've never used Caswell so I need to be educated.

Now, about this 'clog'. If you can see it and if it's Kreem and if you're planning on removing the Kreem I'm lost as to the confusion of what to do with it. Poke it out - pull it out, drill it out. Whatever it is get rid of it. If it's a chunk of Kreem get it out of the tank.

Caswell is a 2 part epoxy. It will seriously go over just about anything. You have roughly an hour of work time with it and then it sets up completely in 24 hours. The end result is a tough, think, epoxy shell in the tank. and rust or botched Kreme jobs just get encased in the epoxy. Its amazing. Personally I got the rust out of my tank with milkstone remover first so it would look nice inside, but i've seen it done directly over rust and it was just as functional. Think of it like those epoxy bar tops that people make where they put all kinds of stuff in it like coins and pictures and such. It's that tough.
