Texas Special CB360

I am sure that more than one member on this board has a stock battery box that they would be willing to part with on the cheap.

If not, you can always build a simple box for your electronics. Use a sealed battery, and your options increase.
I built a small metal tray on my 360 cafe, it looked like this:

Awesome colour for the frame man! Cool and bright, I bet black rims would make the bike marvelous!

Keep up the good work!! 8)

I agree with Justin here, get a sealed battery and you can pretty much throw it anywhere. I too built a tray for mine but mine is directly under the hump. Again, nice bike. I'm diggin' the photoshop pics. Would look pretty cool that way!

The color on the Frame is a House of Kolor Designer Pearl
PBC31 Sunset - here is a color sample from HOK Website. - with several coats of clear to finish!

I used a rotary tool with an abrasive tip to get into the tight areas on the controls, but otherwise just wetsanded until my fingers bled. started with 320 grit and worked up to 1200 grit - then used white and red rouge on my grinder/made polisher. Once you start polishing, it is hard to stop.

Any tips out there on how I can get some color down into the controls "ON, OFF" areas?

You could try going to a hobby store and getting a fine-tipped paint pen.

Liking the orange as well!

I will be looking into getting a sealed battery - anyone have an inexpensive brand they really like (tested and running well)

Also, Does anyone have an illustration or a picture of how the Clutch cable & mechanism all GO BACK TOGETHER?
the parts on the sprocket cover? I have all of the parts, but they are all dissembled and in different piles and I cannot find a picture of how it goes together.

Thanks Marc - I found and installed all of the parts that make the clutch engage (sprocket cover...)

I also installed the Exhaust, front brakes and hooked up the throttle cable last night.
The list is still long, but shes coming along nicely

I need to make a bike stand, looks like it would be nice. Your bike is nearly done, the orange frame pops.

Since you're over in Arlington, you should come hang out. We get together at least once a week in Dallas.

Great! Your welcome.

What are your further plans for the fuel tank etc?

I have been busy building this for my father lately

and have just now begun to work again on the bike, used some new tools (pneumatic shears, small metal brake, welder, etc)
to make a custom battery box, and I am happy with how it turned out!

Hopefully more to come this weekend, as I will be close to the garage all day tomorrow while smoking meat on my smoker ; Low and Slow!

Still waiting on my tank to get painted... :'(

However, I did manage to fire the bike for the first time, and now looking for a temporary gasoline supply so
that I can fine tune everything. I tried to use a coke bottle with a "special" hose adapter - I might or might not upload a pic of this - as it did not work very well. What is your $5 mod for this?

I put this in the $50 mod thread, but wanted to keep everything together, so I am also posting it in my build thread.

"custom" brake light!

tore down old brake light - so that I could use the bulb socket, and tore apart the turn signal.
brakea.jpg

used a threaded hollow bolt to pass the wires thru - even the little bracket with 3 holes, was stolen from the old brake light assembly - and used some Red plastic spray paint to paint the lens.

Wired up

bolted up

Lit Up!!!

Looks a lot better in person, not too happy with how it looks in the photo, but up close you would not know that the plastic has been painted, and when lit - it looks very cool.

Also made a cool little Neutral Light and installed it in its proper spot

Nice man, i like the tail light. I might run a neutral light, call them idiot lights but I would rather do that than drop my bike in public after a loud shreeekk. Just got to find a next spot thats kinda hidden, headlight maybe, anyways nice bike, your almost there, and its winter... ;)
