Textured Paint on Tank

I'm just curious but has anyone tried textured paints on their tanks and seats? I don't know if there are any disadvantages to using it.
When I was shopping for my paint I came across a hammered look.


I just found this on google but its a pipe with the texture paint im talking about.

I thought it would be neat to see on a bike giving it that heavy look. Especially with the stone texture paint.

I have the hammered/wrinkle finish on a few of my tanks. Mine's not sprayed though I powdercoated mine.

Just so you're aware, you can't powder coat over body filler.
