We headed to the Aus event in Sydney (1800km round trip) and had a ball. Even walked away with a trophy as one of the top 5 bikes on the day! Can't wait to see some pics from the other countries events to see what creative minds around the globe got to building.
Here's some of my pics from the day:
This thing was just crazy, especially being built in 24 hours!
My favourite Brat look of the day, although the old rear tank mount would have been very effective at castration:
So whats special about the red and white yamaha that it won the show?
I see plenty of other more interesting bikes...
No offense intended to the yammy, its way cool but..
The Yamaha wasn't the most radical build there and could be overlooked in favour of something more dramatic.
Closer examination however shows the seeming simplicity comes from well thought out design and attention to detail. It may not be a flashy bike but it is one that could be ridden hard and with enjoyment. Function hasn't been sacrificed to fashion.

I don't want to spoil it for people but it's clearly not hooked up.
Turbo's run off exhaust, the exhaust pictured here is open exhaust with nothing running to the turbo.
Now centrifugal super chargers look like turbo's and are routed to the intake much like on this bike, BUT it required to be run by a belt off the engine which also is non-visible. The verdict is the reason why its labelled "all show and no go" is because it is just visual and not hooked up.
