Been Around the Block
Apparently the exposed lead is the one from the positive cable and the negative is the one tucked into the plug. Twice I had my KZ die on me in the last two weeks, and both times the cap on the pigtail had come off and it was shorting the battery to ground. The cap is loose for some reason and doesn't stay put, but it's tight on my other bikes. Word to the wise.
