The Don't drink and eBay CB750

Emailed M3 to get more information about their slipper tensioner and to see about running one on the street. also to ask why the chain that they list is twice the price as ones listed other places and use the same pic. not really to beat them up but to be a more informed customer. im more then willing to spend some money on better parts.

Still reading and thinking about what pistons to run.
Some very cool information here
http://www.satanicmechanic.org/bigbore.shtml
really like the idea of the CBX1000 pistons.
Anyone have more info on this swap? I like the idea of using OEM pistons as for some reason i believe that a cast OEM piston is some how better then the "aftermarket" cast ones? Am i kidding myself?
Not to keen on the 900F pistons as i dont want to be limited to the stock cam.
What would the CR be with the CBX pistons? doesnt read like there would be cam issues.

Well it looks like I now have some motor parts to use for this build....
I fell upon this motor that turned out to be filled with fun vintage go fast parts.

i wondered when i saw the brown if you were keeping them brown. how about a creme frame?

yeah something cream or tan ish
NOT painting that tank!
I have other tanks if i really want to paint something.
i HATE when i see people repainting clean good looking OEM tanks....just wrong as there is a huge value in the stock tanks and there are plenty faded tanks out there to paint

Ahh I gotcha

Great parts.
If you can show him enough interest he might be willing to make some parts

Well I really need to start thinking about buying carbs.
So what are my options?
vintage smoothbores?
modern CRs?
how are those RSs working out for people?

Not really sure what the right set up should be for this yoshi motor. I like the idea of a more vintage carbs but do want the motor to actually work....
so what do you guys think?

No one with opinions on carbs?
I might have a line on a set of used CR31s but they might be to big....
Why are all of the CR29s out of stock?
I would rather not spend $750 on carbs but if thats what i need to at this point then so be it.

Loving this build!

I am slowly gathering parts for my 72 750 build, it will not be as thorough as yours, more just a decent clean up and refurb some lacking parts.

Do those ribbed side covers have a good fit and finish? (i want to run a set on my 72) i have emailed FB twice now with no response... Just wondering as the price is great on them

Thanks very much for the kind words
its been a ton of fun collecting parts and such.

The covers are great. they are heavy but thats my only complaint and its really not much of one....
They are alot stronger then the stock ones.
Cant really speak for his prices, I supplied him with some stuff to make products so we worked something out but im 99.9999% sure they are under $100 for a set and given what stock ones go for its a steal.

While this site has a ton of great builders and people it helps to branch out to a type specific forum as well
Im on the SOHC4.net and so is FB and he seems to be there everyday. lots of great tips and tricks for the 750s there.
I also have his clear points cover....pic a page or two back. another fun product.
