Parts started flowing back from the paint workshop, hopfully the frame will be ready within 1-2 weeks and then I can speed up the build 8)

Hey all,

The frame is back from paint, I wanted something different... not another black/red/silver Guzzi cafe racer frame.. so.. that's the result:

One pic without flash

And another with flash

That's the lower plate that I added to the frame, will hold the battery, as well as the rest of the electric components

Good grief that is stunning. I thought this was supposed to be a bike you weren't scared to drive! Haha. I'd be paranoid dropping it back over the engine, let alone pinging road debris of it!

Buffing of valve covers:

First... few 'before' pictures. The engine was soda blasted and painted.

That's what I used for the job.... a power bench, 0.75HP by Metabo, I'm VERY happy with it.

Next step, replacing the engine bolts with stainless steel ones

Thought I'm done for today (it's 10:15pm here) but I just couldn't hold myself... took the engine home, placed the covers to see how it looks like... and.. I like it :)

I'm waiting for a new gasket set prior assembly...

Vey nice! Next on your Valve covers try some mineral spirits (paint thinner) on a soft tooth brush and lightly scrub the rougher cast surface. That will get the hard to remove compound for the little craters.
Follow with a hand rub with a clean, soft, polishing cloth. You'll be amazed!

Thank you! Will try that soon 8)

I needed a rubber boot for the rear end, where the drive shaft connects to the transmission. For that I used a vehicles universal steering boot, cut it in the right size and if fits perfectly :)

Rear end - Done :)

I need a good set of tires, 100/90-80 front+rear.... any ideas?...
